As John and I were driving home last Saturday to let the dog out before we went to pick up our boys, we were in an accident. A man in an SUV drove around a parked car on his side of the street ... right into our lane and us! There was packed snow on the road so we were going slow but we were still unable to avoid the crunch of our vehicles colliding. "Great", I think, "just what we needed." Little did I know there was more to come!
The SUV pulled away from our car presumably to get out of the way and pull to the side. Before we realized what was happening, he drove off! A man who was shoveling his driveway saw what happened and exclaimed, "He did NOT just do that!!"
Ernest, our witness, tried to see the license plate number but couldn't. John saw which street the SUV turned down and followed hoping to see where he may be. He returned without success. I waited by the side of the road hoping he would pull back around after some sense hit him. I did get to meet Ernest who is a fellow Steelers fan. He gave me his info so that he could be a witness for us.
We went home and called the police. Then we had to go to the police station to file a report. The only info we had on the other vehicle was a dark colored, small SUV driven by a white male, 40 to 60 years old.
We were not hurt. We have full coverage on our vehicle but now will be out the $250 deductible!
I will bake yummy chocolate chip cookies for whoever finds this guy!!

That's a BIG hole! I'm glad the only damage was to your car though. How scary! I want those cookies... I'm assembling a team and will be out there within the hour.
I WISH I could find him if only for those chocolate chip cookies!
